Design

Custom work from the first sketch. No theme that a hundred other businesses also use, but a design that starts from your brand and your visitors.

That means wireframes before pixels, an honest look at who will actually use the site, and a design system made for you: colours, type, components, the whole thing. If you already have a house style, I work within it. If you do not, that is simply part of the job.

Master's in Multimedia Design. Design and development are the same craft to me, so nothing gets lost between the two.

Development

Laravel and React. The same stack I teach, and the same one running a site with 371 courses and a live data link.

Fast, modern, and not boxed in by what a page builder thinks your site should be. Custom functionality is the norm here, not an expensive exception. If your business does something specific, your site can too.

Accessibility

An accessible site is a site everyone can use. Increasingly it is also simply a legal requirement.

That includes anyone navigating by keyboard, using a screen reader, or just trying to read small text on a phone in full sun. I build to WCAG by default. If you already have a site that needs to get there, I can audit it, explain what is wrong in plain language, and fix it.

Real experience. I took a full adult education centre through that compliance. Done well, you notice nothing: nobody just gets left out.

Hosting en onderhoud

Een website is niet af bij de lancering. Er zijn updates, back-ups, beveiligingspatches en af en toe een aanpassing nodig.

Daar wil je liever niet over nadenken. Dus host en onderhoud ik wat ik bouw. Je zit nergens aan vast: het is jouw site en jouw code, en wil je ooit verhuizen, dan help ik je daarbij.

What it costs

Every project gets a quote tailored to it, because every project is different.

A five-page site for a local business and a platform with client logins and live data are not the same work. Pricing them off the same list would mean one of the two overpays.

So we talk first. I tell you honestly what I think it needs, and then you get a fixed price in plain language, before anything gets built. No hours that turn out to run over.
